Aliso Viejo Chiropractor Dr. James Reiley

Dr. James Reiley and family

Dr. James Reiley is the owner and clinic director of Family and Sports Chiropractic in Aliso Viejo and Ladera Ranch. He is a graduate of the University of California at Davis where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology/Pre-Med. He completed his chiropractic training at the Palmer College of Chiropractic-West where he graduated at the top of his class, Cum Laude.

A Career in Chiropractic

While growing up in Southern Orange County he loved most outdoor activities including surfing, skiing and snowboarding, racing motocross, playing soccer and baseball. In fact, he went on to become an All-Conference shortstop for UC Davis. He decided to end his baseball career with college so that he could go on to help others achieve optimal health and performance through chiropractic.

On a Personal Note

He has been married to his beautiful wife Lynn for over 13 years and they have two children Nicole (10) and Brandon (8). Being a family man and actively involved with his children's sports teams has been a perfect match for his Family and Sports Practice. His love for sports has allowed him to work alongside competitive and recreational athletes. He has the opportunity to help these athletes minimize injury while achieving optimal performance. If he is not at the office seeing patients Dr. Reiley can be found at his children's sporting events or out golfing, surfing or mountain biking.

As his practice in Aliso Viejo evolved over the past 10 years the demand to open a second office grew. In March of 2005, Family and Sports Chiropractic of Ladera Ranch opened its doors. Although Dr. Reiley would love to be able to see patients in both clinics, his full-time practice in Aliso Viejo only affords him time to direct the Ladera Ranch Office and his associate doctors manage the day-to-day operations of the Ladera Ranch Clinic.

Dr. James Asks some important questions of interest to Aliso Viejo residents - Chiropractor Aliso Viejo Dr. James Asks...

Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
